YHC was awed at the eager anticipation of 13 men who greeted him in anticipation of the Badlands RUN day. They were forewarned of the RUN, asked to bring their RUNning shoes, and give ample opportunity to forego the RUN before we departed on said pre- announced RUN. And yet…as brethren do…all put their best foot forward toward establishing a Badlands distance record. Here are the stats: 5.53 miles, 9:20 minute pace, 1ft elevation change, no Merlot spillage witnessed. Along the way, mumblechatter was heard (I’m not a runner…I hate running…when is this gonna be over…). Despite the grumbling, all men emerged victorious in their ordeal. Afterward, some appeared elated at the completion of this previously unmentionable feat. We also discussed the importance of being DIALED IN, and not PHONING IN our commitments in to our family, work, and faith. While the latter is easy to do in life, the former gives true meaning to life.
Welcome to Waggle. Special shout out to Seinfeld on his bike– he road solo, but was never alone.
