In Mark 2:1 Jesus is preaching and teaching and the crowds are so huge, that one particular crypled man cannot get close enough to receive healing.  So his 4 friends pick up the 4 corners of his mat and risk a great deal to get him to their healer.  What did they risk? Their health, safety, and good standing in the community. They climbed on top of someone’s rooftop, tore open a hole the size of their friend, and lowered him down. A Property damage citation was the least of their worries, they had to get their friend to the one man that could heal.

What’s important here is that these men displayed an undeterred faith in Jesus and a love for their friend that superseded any obstacle.  Do you have four friends that would risk that much for you to get you to your goal?

The real question is, are you one of four men for your friends?
