Not sure why, but the tragedy in Orlando this past weekend hit YHC hard. Not sure if it was the proximity to Jacksonville, or having friends and family in the Orlando area (Citi Slicker, my BOL, who has posted with the Jax PAX once before, lives only 5 miles from the night club). YHC found himself sadden by the tragedy; this later turned to anger. Not only did I become upset about the situation itself, but the fact that different groups would use this horrific incident as a means to promote any number of agendas. Regardless of one’s stance on any of these issues, one thing is certain: this was a crime against humanity. The Gospel reading was a call for me to do something that is still difficult to do, but something my Lord has commanded me to do. I, and many others, may need prayers to do as commanded.
