Thursday was YHC’s 34th birthday, so we took a chance to celebrate!
Since YHC was a swimmer growing up, we warmed up with an individual medley of arm circles. All 12 reps IC:
Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle
SSH x 34 IC
LBC x 82 OYO
Mosey to Pavilion for a modified set of 12/29s. 29 reps of each exercise, wait on the 6, then mosey halfway out onto field & back (total about 40 yards). 29 Reps of each exercise
Upper: Merkins, Dips, Irkins
Mid: Big Boy Sit-ups, Flutter Kicks, Hello Dolly
Lower: Squats, Lunges, Monkey-Humpers
For the sake of time, YHC cut it short into 9/29’s (which just so happens to be the birthday of my 2.0 “Dino”).
Since YHC was born in Louisiana & grew up playing soccer, we had a few friendly rounds of Cajun (crab) Soccer with a giant soccer ball for about 5-10 minutes.
Next we had a fun game of Burpee Lazer Tag. YHC brought old bungee rockets from his work stash, and distributed 3 to each player. Simple rules: if you get hit by a bungee rocket you drop & do 5 burpees (this was edited down to 3 burpees as the game came to a close). This was surprisingly exhausting.
Finished up with some stretching.
