- Burpees x10 OYO for late arrival
Pax all grabbed a sand pail and filled it with water. Mission individually and collectively: Bataan Death March to SE stairwell of King Street Garage. Do not spill any water. Return to the COT with your bucket filled with water. Unbeknownst to the Pax, all but one bucket had a hole in it, forcing PAX to improvise ways to plug the hole. Done right, the Pax carrying the bucket with no hole realizes he is positioned to help the other Pax and switches buckets with the Pax doing Burpees. The Pax doing Burpees pays it forward to the next Pax doing Burpees, minimizing water loss from leaky buckets. At garage stairwell, Pax found duct tape to patch their leaky buckets. Pax run up & down 5 flights of stairs and complete a set of B.L.I.M.P.S. 1 exercise after each run up and down stairs (5 Burpees, 10 Lunges each leg, 15 Imperial walker, 20 Merkins, 25 Plank jacks, 30 Squats).
Mosey back to near side of RR tracks for 60 seconds of monkey humpers OYO
Mosey to library loading dock: Bear crawl up ramp, duck walk back to start. Rinse and repeat 3X.
Mosey to the pavilion for as many rounds of Black Jack OYO as possible — time permitting. On near sidewalk perform 1 Merkin – run to opposite sidewalk – perform 20 LBCs. Run back and do 2 Merkins. Run back for 19 LBCs. etc., etc. until completing 20 Merkins and 1 LBC, Always adds up to 21 – BLACK JACK!
No Paxs returned with a full bucket of water. How often do we set out to accomplish a goal or task –especially small ones–without adequate preparation? We quickly grab our leaky buckets, find we’re ill-prepared and improvise in our own strength (plugging holes with our fingers) and our own wisdom (duct tape). PSALM 37:5 “Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Best prep in life no matter what the task–otherwise it’s like carrying water in a leaky bucket!
