20 Male species arrived with eye boogers not knowing what to expect when YHC has a laundry basket, frisbee, and a brown bag of balls.

The Thang

We broke up into 5 groups of 4 plus YHC and grabbed a sack of my….PP Balls numbered 1-6 that corresponded with the stations. Each team draws a ball and proceeds to that station for the beatdown. I took the liberty of providing a public health notice to the F3 nation and implored them to inspect their…PP Balls thoroughly.

*Bonus, 2 of the balls had “SB” written on them signifying a healthy jaunt to get the PAX really schweatty. Most were excited when I informed that the sack only had 2 “SB” balls. Duh!

Next was most anticipated as we were toast and needed a distraction.

We circled up for a little target practice with a frisbee and a basket.  Each Pax took a go and tried to land the frisbee inside the basket.  If successful we would do 5 Merkins, if we failed, 5 Burpees.  It was clear that most of the Pax do not toss the frisbee that often.  Lots of mumblechatter ensued as we couldn’t keep up with all the Burpees we were amassing.  Applause goes out to Fixit for his Rolling the frisbee technique albeit unsuccessful.

YHC called an audible for hitting the basket led to a “victory” of only 5 Merkins. All told, each man did approx 100 Burpees in the Frisbee Fest.

I shared a lot about the week of Cheech and his memory.  I challenged us all to seize this day for whatever needs to be done.  Don’t wait to say I’m sorry, I love you, I need help. Cheech was doing everything “right” but it was his time to go.  What does your life say after it ends? Do the hard things today, for tomorrow is not guaranteed.  Always a priviledge to be with and lead the men of F3.
