AYC left the house in a foggy obstacle course of recycling bins, bikers, parked cars and wild hogs (couldn’t see the front of my truck it was so foggy).  I’ll take Fog over 20s any day, felt good this fine am. Finally arrived at Davis Park after a 3 mile 20min drive, AYC officially now knows what it’s like to drive like a grandmother.  Ran over to the church to layout some cones for the upcoming workout.  Heard some rustling in the woods so proceed back to the truck to (strap up, just in case). Finally back to the EO and await the PAX. 2 min till and finally the crew rolls in, assuming they all had a similar low mileage long duration commute.  Mumble chatter consisted of “WTH were the Jags, thinking”, something about “ill will to Tom Brady” and how many rings can one guy actually wear? 19 in all, let’s get started.

The Thang

partner up and mosey over to the church, bear crawl across (bear crawl alley)  first set up cones, sprint with your partner cone to come, continue mosey to pull up bars.

3 cones 3 stations with your partner

1) 200 merkins

2) 100 pullups

3) 300 squats

“Oh, BTW, that’s each”  mubblechatter let’s just say wasn’t enthusiastic.  3 to 4 groups per station.  10 sets breaking down into 10/20/30.

Thats right, mon am we are doing a MURPH, good time too all PAX in under 20 min (2miles excluded)  take 7.5 min mile splits, that’s a MURPH done in 35min or under (will get to the cardio piece in a min)

PAX waited on 6 with planks and inclined LBCs. When 6 was in “What did u first think when I said 100 pull ups, 200 merkins, 300 squats and that’s each?  Large task right, but the what about 10 pull ups, 20 merkins, 30 squats, more realistic, obtainable right” ever hear the saying “how to eat an elephant?”  One bite at a time, basic principal of taking large tasks and breaking them down into smaller obtainable milestones  just not too small otherwise that elephant starts to stink and go bad  that’s why we partnered up you also need to include and leverage the talents and people around u to accomplish things”

6x Mosey to church parking lot where the same sprints were performed, with a mosey around parking lot, sprint again, rinse, repeat.

mosey back to EO, bear crawl across “bear crawl alley” then an AYG sprint back to the flag.

oh wait there’s more, leg lifts for another 3 min around the flag
