PUD’s Pickle Buckets of Pain

11 Pax showed up for a PUD Beatdown…. this epic week featured YHC followed by Jumanji at BOHICA then BigBird will bring it on Saturday!  The Pax questioned their sanity when they say the trusty Sequoia knowing this indicated heavy stuff…. And so it began…
Quick Mosey lap around the park to show the Pax what was in store… then it was time for…
  • 21 SSH’s – count 5 IC, silent count the remaining 16, if we didn’t finish in unison 21 Burpees were in store.
  • 10 Merkins – IC
  • 10 Michael Phelps – IC
  • 10 Reachers – IC
  • Mosey to the Lampost….
Explanation was given for what was in store… As is often the case, many Pax were dumbfounded & confused… YHC is considering sending a Pre Blast w pretty pictures & fitness models in the future!
THE THANG – A.L.A.R.M – Partner Up!!  YHC had to fly solo since we didn’t have an even count… No Fun!  Darn the Pax that opted to Fartsack!!
  • A – 100 Shoulder Tap Merkins
  • L – 150 – Knee Tuck Squat Jumps
  • A – 200 – Arms High Partial Sit Up (On 6, knees bent at 90 deg, raise arms straight overhead, keeping them pointing up throughout the exercise. Sit up halfway, then steadily return to the floor. That’s one rep.)
  • R – 250 Rock Ups – Arms out in front, in fluid motion, bend legs, roll back onto your butt, tuck knees, roll back forward w out using hands Return to your feet OR IF YOU CANT DO THIS, 250 Ranger Merkins – Hands by Rib Cage not shoulders, elbows tight
  • M – 300 – Mointain Climbers – First 100 Regular, Next 100 w Knee to opposite elbow, final 100 w 1 Merkin followed mountain climber (right then left leg), that’s one… repeat.. 2nd Merkin Mountain Climber
  • Partners alternate ALARM exercise &:
    • P2 Broad Jump to 1st cone, complete exercise broad jump back,
    • P1 repeats the above, upon return, once both Pax completed the exercise, the bucket was moved to the next cone.
    • P2 Broad Jumps to 2nd cone & completes the exercise, broad jumps back, etc…
      • Cone 1 –  25 Over Head Press
      • Cone 2 – 25 Burpees
      • Cone 3 – 25 Curls
    • As Pax cycled through the cones, they were moved from 1,2,3,2,1,2,3, etc… until all ALARM exercises were completed.
Hats off to the Pax that completed all the exercises. If anyone actually did?  Pax modified as needed… I don’t think anyone completed all the Rock Ups!
The Pickle Buckets were not evenly weighted… 2 were 50 lbs, a 22, a 40ish lb and a 30ish one! All were filled w random weighted items… sand bags, weights, cat litter, knee pads, catchers gear, etc…
Wrapped Up w the COT and prayed it out!
Be prepared to see the buckets make future appearances!  PUD out!
