Sandwich for Breakfast

6 hard chargers posted this morning at Kessel Run to start their week off right. Luckily for us the humidity was only at about 150% this morning so we had a little reprieve. It was a rare occasion that YHC made it to the AO early enough that I did not have to Slack the 5 minute call. Jumanji came in hot tires screeching just in time for the beatdown YHC had prepared. 

Run from the River City Brewing Company parking lot to the corner of the Main Street Bridge and the River Walk. YHC pointed out that the loop around Mary Street was approximately 800 m. From there I launched into the explanation of the workout. 

THE THANG: 800m Sandwich Workout

  • 800m run at a moderate pace
  • 50 squats
  • 50 big boy sit ups
  • 25 burpees
  • 800m run as fast as you can 
  • AMRAP until time runs out

Jumanji pointed out he liked the simplicity of the workout. Though it obviously wasn’t simple enough since all but YHC and Bowser forgot to run the moderate 800 meters on the second pass of the sandwich. SeatDown said it was much less running the way they did it at first. God forbid we run at a running workout. All in all YHC got 3 full sandwiches digested this morning. Who knows what anyone else got since they couldn’t follow the recipe.
