As men united in the gloom for run/ bike day, YHC asked them to consider the wisdom of Solomon in Ecclesiastes 3:
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal…
Here’a what went down…
Warm Up = limp member, down dog calf stretches, quad stretch, IT band stretch
We divided into 3 groups:
Bikers– Seinfeld represented well!
Stampeders: 2.6 mile bridge run, followed by various stretches/ exercises; led by Skim
Fastholes: 5.1 miles (including bridge Indian run and 40 bridgkins and local neighborhood excursion through Sawmill Lakes) at 9:11 pace; led by YHC
CR/NR/BOM:
Tim McGraw sings, “Some day I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying”. Well…we all are…and that’s our reality. I was reminded of that this week with the sudden passing of my father. But we have choices for today. Live in the moment, but don’t get lost in the day to day…
We are all just one phone call away…
