Despite a hurricane on the horizon and YHC’s pre-blast prediction of a dismal beatdown, 13 brave souls arrived with running shoes on. They were uncertain but committed. They were ready for the unknown, confident that in the end, they would overcome. They were (duh, duh, duh…cue the dramatic music…), BADLANDERS!! Whether verbalized or not, each man has concluded an important observation: they are different compared to a year, or even 6 months, ago. They realize that WE are changing, becoming better men with each workout, each relationship. While this is certainly true for for our bodies, real change requires new thinking. In order to change, we must change the way we think.

 

  • Warm up— 
    • Limp Member
    • Down dog calf stretch
    • Partner quad stretch

Pyramid of Death— directions:

  • Pair up— fastholes with a Clydesdale
  • We are going to run 10 laps (2.5 mi)
  • After the first lap (EACH PARTNER RUNNING IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS), we’ll do 25 regular merkins. Each man does 25—you can loan to your partner if needed
  • After the second lap, we’ll do the 25 merkins again and we’ll escalate by adding 25 LBCs each.
  • We’ll add an exercise for each round up to the 5th lap.
  • On the 6th lap, we deescalate and drop the merkins (only doing 4 exercises @ 25 reps each)
  • By lap 9—you should only be doing 25 squats
