The conditions at #MemorialPark were ideal for a Free Men’s Workout that is open to all men, that takes place outdoors… rain or shine! Time to make like Fergie & work on our Fitness
Having limited time due to a late night at work, the thought occurred to enlist my wonderful daughter in the fun. My willing accomplice researched the #IronPaxChallenge workouts and helped me craft a hybrid of week 1 and week 2.
LOCATION: Memorial Park Jacksonville, FL
CONDITIONS: Ideal
MUMBLE CHATTER: Limited
WARM UP: Random stretches, arm circles, SSH, reachers, yoga (not really), etc…
THE THANG: Cinder Block not used on Phase 1
- 50 Air Squats
- 40 BBSU’s
- 30 Merkins
- 20 Iron Mikes
- 10 Burpess
- Lap around the park = 1/4 mile
- Repeat. In the actual challenge, we repeated 4 times.
THE THANG 2: Phase 1 was a warm up. Blocks now come into play… a few Pax actually used the blocks to #Anchor their feet for the BBSU’s
- 10 Minutes of Squat Thrusters
- 25 Squat Thrusters
- Run 25 yd (there & back 50 – Thanks Heisenberg for pointing that out)
- 25 Squat Thrusters, run the 25, repeat for a total of 10 minutes!
- 10 Minutes of Arm Curls
- 25 Arm Curls
- Run 25 yds
- Rinse & repeat for 10 minutes
- 10 Minutes of Kettle Bell Swings
- 25 Kettle Bell Swings
- Run 25 yds
- Rinse & Repeat for 10 minutes
- 10 Minutes of Man Makers
- 25 Man Makers
- Run 25 yds
- rinse & Repeat for 10 minutes or until time is complete
The Pax all stuck with it and encouraged each other. Hard work was put in for sure. We didn’t get too far into the Man Makers before time expired. Lifo made a suggestion to reverse the order or to at least put the Man Makers first. By the time we got to them, we were all tuckered out!
