80’s Throwback

Time to burn off the Turkey and Pie Post Christmas style! YHC usually would try to create a workout that would burn maximum calories and cause sufficient muscle burn. However, on this beautiful 47 degree morning I had a little surprise for the 7 Pax in attendance. We started with the usual welcome, disclosure and warmup, but I quickly dedicated the beatdown to come to our one and only “Zamboni!” Yep, it was going to be an 80’s Hip Hop/Rap kind of morning.

Formed 2 lines and Mosey to the OUTHOUSE for 20 Monkey Humpers OYO. Mosey to second parking lot for 20 Pickle Pounders OYO. Continued to the end of the park and made a sharp right hand turn and ventured onto the Turf Field for some BLACKJACK! Time to burn some calories and tighten the ABS:
Sprint 20 yards – 20 BB Sit ups, Sprint 20 Yards 1 American Hammer, Sprint 20 yards 19 BB Sit ups, Sprint 20 yards 2 American Hammers, Repeat. We didn’t complete the entire BLACKJACK but it was time to move on for some “Cookies!”

PAX formed a circle around the Cookie Jar (thx Bada) for some surprise beatdowns. Each Pax took a turn pulling out a cookie out of the Jar for the group to enjoy. There may have been some mumblechatter that the QIC only put Burpees in the cookie jar. Contrary to popular belief I did include a Lindsey Lohan and 10 count in order to keep it fresh. Here were a few of the exercises we DID enjoy together:

15 Burpees
60 seconds id sprints
20 Michael Jordans
15 Diamond Merkins
20 Iron Cross
10 Partner Derkins
15 1 Legged Burpees
20 Burpees

There were still many cookies left in the Jar but time had just about expired and it was time to Indian Run back to COT.
