We do “hard things” in order to be able to do “hard things”. We go through adversity in order to prepare for our next adversity. We are in a constant state of facing adversity, we are either preparing for a battle, in a battle, or just coming out of a battle. The process is fluid, the more we train for hard things the better quipped we are to handle them, the “hard things” (battles, struggles, internal, external, etc) don’t get easier, we just get better at battling through.
