What Defines You?

14 Pax descended upon a soggy Davis Park ready to better themselves. YHC threw out a teaser on slack yesterday and posed the question” What defines you? Is it your circumstances or your character?” Airbags excitedly said he was in if only he didn’t get wet, dirty, or sweaty. While I could not promise that, I did promise that we wouldn’t even leave the closest baseball field to the flag! No FNGs so YHC gave the disclaimer that he was not a professional and didn’t even play one on tv and we were off!

Warm-Up

The Thang

– Mosey to home plate on the first baseball field via a fence jump.

Triangle Pyramids Rounds 1-3

Triangles involve running from home plate to the right field foul pole, across the soggy outfield to the left field foul pole, and back to home plate.
At each stop (right field pole, left field pole, and home plate) we performed merkins, squats, and LBCs.

Round 1- 10 of each exercise at each stop (Round 1 total- 30 merkins, 30 squats, 30 LBCs)
Round 2- 20 of each exercise at each stop (Round 2 total- 60 merkins, 60 squats, 60 LBCs)
Round 3- 30 of each exercise at each stop (Round 3 total- 90 merkins, 90 squats, 90 LBCs)

We paused and did two laps around the field using the Bataan Death March. Two lines line up to complete an Indian Run where the back PAX drop to do 5 Burpees before sprinting to the front. As they pass the next PAX at the end of the line, PAX 2 drops to complete burpees while PAX one continues to front of line.

Round 4- 20 of each exercise at each stop (Round 4 total- 60 merkins, 60 squats, 60 LBCs)
Round 5- 10 of each exercise at each stop ( Round 5 toal- 30 merkins, 30 squats, 30 LBCs)

Total Merkins, Squats, and LBCs- 270
Burpees- 15-20
Miles Ran- Close to 2
Soaking Pax- 14

Philippians 4:10-13- Paul learned to be content no matter the circumstance. That is our challenge. To let our character define us and not our circumstances. Lean into each other. Encourage each other.
