Blindspots

It was a humid morning at the Badlands but it did not stop 11 men from defeating the fartsack and joining me for a workout. On slack, YHC put out a little teaser that asked two questions- what are your blindspots? Are there areas of your life where you have mailed in it? The PAX were reminded of those two questions as we began this morning, the disclaimer that YHC was not a professional was given, and we got to work.

The Thang

Mosey to the grass football field with some karaokes and butt kicks mixed in.

At the football field we did a lengthened 11. Since the sidelines were not clear we did light pole to light pole (slightly longer run). We started with 1 Burpee and 10 Iron Mikes (each leg) all the way up to 10 burpees and 1 Iron Mike. YHC may have hinted to Dollar Bill last night that we may not do Burpees. Oops.

Mosey to Baseball Field parking lot for what I called “Parking lot suicide pyramids”. It was at this moment that YHC learned that the PAX were very defensive over their geometry terms. What we did was more in the trapezoid family, but I digress.

Round 1- run to first island do 10 merkins, run back to line. Run to second island do 20 merkins, run back to line. Run to third island do 30 merkins, back to line. Run back to third island,30 merkins, back to line. Run to second island, 20 merkins, run back to line. Run to first island do 10 merkins, run back to line.

Round 2- Audible due to time, it became more of a ladder. Run to first island, 10 LBCs, run to second island, 20 LBCs. Run to third island, 30 LBCs. Run back to start.

Round 3- Run to first island, 10 squats. Run to second island, 20 squats. Run to third island, 30 squats. Wait for 6 at 3rd island.

Indian run the long way back to flag.

We all have blindspots. We all have areas of our lives where we are weak. Whether it be as husbands, parents, friends, or employees. But it is not an excuse to let these areas falter. Someone knows (Hebrews 4:13). But we are not designed to go at it alone (Proverbs 27:17)- Iron sharpens iron. Lean into the shield lock and lets make each other better husbands, parents, friends, and employees.

Prayers were offered for pregnancies, family/parenting wisdom, and job situations. Praises given for the clear scan for MCDs wife!
