12 PAX of F3 Jacksonville, including 1 FNG descended upon Anchor to find and old familiar face.  YHC has been a regular at Boondocks since its inception but had some work to do downtown this gloomy Saturday.  Seeing that there was an opening in the Q schedule, he decided to grab it and go.  Hearing the mumble chatter about the Iron Pax Challenge Week 0, but not having the time to attempt it, YHC decided to include the Anchor Pax to join him at his only attempt at this beatdown.  He was hoping to convince more Jax Pax to register for the IPC, since, as we all know, misery loves company…

The Thang

YHC reviewed the “Loredo” beatdown that was IPC week 0, providing demonstration for proper form.

6 rounds for time:

  • 24 Squats
  • 24 Merkins
  • 24 walking lunges (count right leg only)
  • 400-meter run

The PAX were elated when they realized that there was still time remaining, and YHC  just so happened to have 4 cones.  Mosey cone to cone and perform the following:

  • Round 1: 20 LBCs
  • Round 2: 20 Flutter kicks

Return to COP for:

  • Sphinx merkins x5 OYO (courtesy of LIFO)
  • Burpees x10 OYO (courtesy of SOC)
  • Post-beatdown stretching

Once again YHC made a pitch for the IPC 2019 and for any PAX present to register and enter their times for week 0. He also informed the PAX he had the opportunity to visit SOC in the hospital and he asked to pass on the message that he appreciates the prayers and that he would be fartsacking this morning. He also requested that we do burpees for him in the gloom. YHC was happy to oblige.

  • Prayers for SOC and his family
  • All those in the path of Hurricane Dorian
  • Lord’s Prayer and Pledge

Good work today men! Thank you for letting me lead at the old stomping grounds.  T-claps to Pud and Eileen for doing this thing twice.  Your times are below, and remember, it’s not about the competition (although that is what pushes you), it’s about the participation:

  • Septum 24:31
  • Pud 24:59
  • Eileen 25:11
  • Sanka 27:00
  • Bowzer 28:43
  • D-Nice 28:55
  • Rain Man 28:55
  • Feud 29:02
  • Gekko 29:44
  • Boucher 29:44
  • LIFO 31:24

With that, as Jag fans would agree, thank the sky Q that the pre-season is over.  Bring on the 2019 Iron Pax Challenge!
