YHC meet the 13 PAX ITVG including 1 FNG on a rather balmy Thursday morning as the mumblechatter revolved around FNG’s and a couple of PAX posting at Badlands!  Even snuck in a comment or two about Snaggle’s close call with a truck-jacker at the Publix in PV…he claims if he would have instituted some Bear Crawl’s and his trusty head band things would have resolved much sooner.

After the usual pleasantries and disclaimers…we were off.

Welcome to FNG – Brown, who works for UPS…so the name fits!!!

YHC then shared this short devotion with the PAX encouraging each of us as leaders to REFRESH!

“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
Proverbs 11:25
There have been some sad and difficult things happen in the world and our community over the last few weeks.
When stress is high and life is overwhelming, it can be easy to just wish for a way out, a shortcut to feeling better, or gaining instant peace. However, this may direct the way we start to live and pray in negative ways.
We can become insular, focused only on our own difficulties, pains, and problems. We turn inward. Our cries to God are simply for escape routes. These aren’t by default “bad.” But often they aren’t the most beneficial. My personal challenge to all of us today is to face difficulties and stresses with today’s verse, Proverbs 11:25, as my weapon and battle cry:
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
The surest path forward from sorrow to joy is refreshing and encouraging others. Don’t first look to get fed, look to feed someone else. Right now, who in your life can you encourage, serve, or add value to in some way — large or small?
If you’re struggling, serve your way to victory. Push into this promise: refresh others and you will be refreshed.

Prayed for Saigon Sam’s friend from HS who passed away suddenly. The pandemic to pass, for health, our friend McDreamy.

As always a pleasure to serve all of the PAX today as your Q. Until we see each other ITVG…I’m out!
