YHC Q’d today with a heavy heart for what is going on in our country. As a Christian, I believe that ever since Adam and Eve fell things have been marred by sin. That plays out in how we treat other people. That plays out in how we respond to how we are treated. That plays out in our government governs us. There are people in our communities who are hurting. Our African American brothers and sisters are hurting. Business owners are hurting. The police are hurting. We desperately need hope, namely Jesus. When I don’t know how to respond, I try to go to Scripture. As you read this passage, think through how you can minister to those who are hurting. Think through how you can add to the healing rather than increase the hurting.
Romans 12:12-18
12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. 13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.[a] Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Love you guys. Always an honor to lead.
Gravy out!
