7 HIM of Fleming Island did not view the “make sure to bring a stop-watch” as a warning, they saw it as a challenge: Week 1 Iron Pax Challenge that is…  Luckily for the pax, it has not rained in two days, so the field was… moist… but at least it wasn’t saturated and we wouldn’t need scuba gear to complete this week’s IPC.  Although, that scuba gear could have come in handy during Crotchless’ VQ on Thursday…  Disclaimer provided and we began

COP

YHC wanted to make sure all pax knew the exercises that were to take place for IPC Week 1, soooo…

  • SSH x20 IC
  • Hand Release-Release Merkins x 5 OYO
  • Leg Raises x5 OYO
  • Jungle Boi Squats, 2-spoon style x 5 OYO
  • BBSU x5 OYO
  • Lunges x 6 OYO (counting each leg)

Mosey to higher grounds for….

The Thang

IPC Week 1

For time:

  • EMOM: 3 Burpees Plus
    • 50 Hand Release-Release Merkins
    • 100 Leg Raises
    • 150 Jungle Boi Squats 2-spoon style
    • 200 Big Boy Sit-Ups
    • 250 “Easy” Lunges (counting each leg)

Pax were spent at the end of the challenge.  However, all pax completed the challenge with 13 minutes left, so, wanting to make sure everyone got their full hour’s worth (YHC doesn’t provide refunds) we slow moseyed around the park to the playground for 10 pull-ups.

YHC then announced that pax would take the next minute to collect trash on the field to throw away.  There would be 70 burpees minus the number of trash items collected.  Having felt they’ve completed enough burpees for the weekend, the pax collected greater than the 70 pieces of trash to avert any further burpee misery

Return to COP for:

  • Don Quixote’s x10 IC
  • Reach through x10 IC
  • Hamstring stretches
  • Quad Stretches

COT/BOM

YHC congratulated the men on completing IPC Week 1.  Encouraged all to submit times and register if they had not done so by now.  YHC discussed that we should judge something based on how it makes us feel after we are done and not prior to starting.  Most people don’t wake up early and say, I am ready for this workout (YHC prefers to hit the snooze).  But after they are done with the workout, they are so glad that they did it.  Many good things in life are appreciated after we’ve been through them or experienced them.

Announcements/Prayers:

  • F3 Jacksonville shirts still on sale on Mudgear site- go get one… or more
  • Convergence for Labor Day at Mickler’s Beach
