Picking up on GNC’s Get Right message is a quote from Bengals QB Joe Burrow: “Focus on getting better,” Burrow said. “Don’t have a workout and post it on Instagram the next day and then go sit on your butt the next day and everyone thinks you’re working hard but you’re not. Work in silence. Don’t show anyone what you’re doing. Let your performance on Friday nights and Saturday nights and Sunday nights show all the hard work you put in. Don’t worry about all that social media stuff.”
We can get wrapped up in trying to capture every moment for a video, a reel, a boomerang or a post. Do the work- let the results do the talking. Like Tony Soprano said- be the Gary Cooper strong silent type.
Warmup (we at least tried to warmup). Ran around the Crosswater parking lot & mixed in some calisthenics. Back to the circle for some block work focusing on all body parts, some short running laps in between. All told- we ran about 2 miles in a HIIT workout, kept the heart rate up & the mumble chatter going. Sorry for the crap music- stay away from Amazon’s Gen X mix.
