4 HIM of Fleming Island posting at Asgard in the gloomidity of NE Florida.  YHC took Tuesday and Thursday with a theme in mind; however, due to recent events, he decided on the drive in to switch it up.  Last night he watched part of the news and saw the procession for SSG Seth Michael Plant, 30, who, tragically lost his life on Tuesday, May 10th from a bear attack on base in Alaska.  SSG Plant was born in Jacksonville and raised in Starke, FL.  He graduated from Pedro Menendez High School in 2010 and enlisted in the US Army immediately after.  He served in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom and was a decorated soldier having received the Army Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal, among others.  This is a tribute beatdown for Seth.

SSG Plant was a soldier in Company C, 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry Artic Airborne unit at the time of his passing.  Per his obituary, which you can read here, he was well loved by his family and friends and was a man of service, and he apparently served his community and country well.  May he RIP.
