- The PAX: One good quality we can have is admitting when we drop the ball. I failed at this one!
16 Pax posted at Tacmo for various ‘do stuff’ workouts. We had walkers, Stagecoachers, runners & my group for pearls on a string of sorts described below.
From the flag at Friendship Fountain, we ran to the stadium and did 27 reps of the below workouts.
- Merkins, Dips, Squats, Iron Mikes, LBCs, Flutter Kicks
We ran to Stagecoach and did 3 of the below workouts. These finished up our adversity reps for the day, totaling 30.
- Burpees, Monkey Humpers, V-Ups
To finish off, we ran to the Main Street Base Camp to overcome our adversity. We did 31 reps of the below workouts before running back to the flag. I clocked 4.13 miles total.
- Pull-ups, Merkins, Monkey Humpers, Calf Raises, Leg Lifts, Birth Canals
At COT we discussed overcoming adversity. At halftime of the Jags game, they interviewed Doug Pederson and asked what the Jags needed to do. He simply said ‘we need to settle down and keep chipping away’. Down 27-7, they fought back and won 30-31. We all face adversity and have a choice – pack up and go home, or keep chipping away. We never know what’s coming in the second half, or around the next corner in life. As long as we stay in the game, do what we can do and ‘keep chipping away’, we can be there to find out.
