I recently came across a great definition for discipline: the ability to prioritize the needs of your future self ahead of your own. As such, in today’s message, the PAX focused on playing the long game in all facets of life. While the world preaches instant results and gratification, we grind each day – physically, mentally, relationally, spiritually – because we seek long-term, sustained growth. I asked the PAX, “what do you want your body to look like when your in your 50s and 60s?” Answer: D-Day :). Or, “what kind of husbands and fathers do we want to be for the long haul?” The work we put in now, the deposits we make today, will pay huge dividends later on.
