9 pax posting in the gloom at Memorial Park in downtown Jacksonville for the return of Feud at Anchor. YHC had announced that 2 FNGs would be posting, unfortunately, due to circumstances out of their control, they were unable to make it.  Lucky for the pax, YHC did show up to fulfill his duties as Q.  For the pax at Asgard, it appears that the pax of Anchor enjoyed this beatdown as much as you did.

The Thang

YHC had a few ideas for this visit to one of his old stomping grounds.  He decided to treat the pax of Anchor with a couple of “thangs” that the Asgardians didn’t appreciate so much.  But first, having been some time since his last post at Anchor, YHC had to pay tribute to the iconic statue at Memorial Park:

  • Rocky Balboas x 1 min
  • Bear crawl 1 lap around the fountain
  • Butkus x 1 min
  • Crabwalk 1 lap around fountain

Mosey back to the field for one of YHC’s favorite HIITs- Baseball style:

  • 10 burpees at Home
  • Sprint to 1st base- 20 diamond merkins + 20 sumo squats
  • Mosey home
  • 10 burpees at home
  • Sprint to 2nd base- 20 diamond merkins + 20 sumo squats
  • Mosey home
  • Repeat sequence for 3rd base and all the way around to home

The Dab

  • 5 burpees EMOM x5 min followed by 400 m run
  • 4 rounds- we completed the last round of burpees before time called; 6 BBR trainees came by but for some reason declined to join us for the last 2 minutes of burpees.

COT/BOM

YHC once heard an analogy of life and a race broken up into quarters.  In the first quarter of a race, your adrenaline is high and still remains fairly high going into and during the 2nd quarter.  In the 4th quarter, you get your second wind as the end is in site.  It’s the 3rd quarter that separates the contenders from the pretenders.  Life is similar.  The first 20 years of life is full of youthful energy and sense of indestructibility.  Years 20-40, you grow as a person, in your career and other aspects of life.  It’s in that 3rd quarter of life, 40-60, where many start questioning where they are and how did they get there.  Parents start becoming empty-nesters, careers start winding down and we question did we prepare for retirement. YHC encouraged the pax to keep their eyes on their goals in life, whether its to develop their relationship with Jesus, be financially stable at retirement, or whatever it is- keep your eye on the goal and stay on target.  The great thing about F3 is that we’ve surrounded ourselves with guys who will act as guardrails to help you stay the course.

It was great to see the Anchor pax once again.  Thank you for allowing me to lead you today.

COT ended with prayers and pledge.
