We opened with a quick review of the core value of the month — Freedom.

Quote: “Freedom consists not of doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought.” — Pope John Paul II

Phrase: We honor our freedom to assemble peacefully without prosecution, by always honoring those who sacrifice to preserve that freedom.

YHC threw in a Bible verse that speaks not only of freedom but of our responsibility as men to not just be leaders, but to be servant leaders. “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” — Galatians 5:13

Of course, YHC was there to serve the Pax as the Q, so it was time to get on with showing the love to this group of loveable miscreants via the workout…

Mosey to soccer field for a quick round of Doras. Partner up!

• Round 1: P1 bears crawls to mid line, 10 merkins, then runs back. P2 is doing mountain climbers. Rinse and repeat.
• Round 2: P1 broad jump burpees to mid line, then run to far goal line and back. P2 is doing reverse crunches. Repeat 2x.

Mosey to circle at mid-field for one round of Guantanamo Bay and then a victory lap.

With Saigon Sam literally thousands of miles away, this went fast… 🙂

• Friday, October 1st, 8am, our monthly van washing for K9s for Warriors. Come on out and see what Bombs Away looks like in the sunlight at his day job!

• IPC workout with Saigon Sam and Slash this Friday at 6:15am at Davis Park for those who missed the Wednesday workout (or would just, for some strange reason, like to do it again, or, like Gizzard, have nothing better to do with their mornings than to show up to heckle the older participants slogging their way through it).

• Pool Party will be expanding to include Mondays, starting in October! Mark your calendar, the fun begins Monday, October 4th, 5:30am sharp!

Prayers
With Jumanji in attendance, Outhouse – who valiantly fought to hold back his tears, but (understandably) failed miserably – solemnly raised up for healing the gimpy hamster that his sister’s ex-roomate’s half-cousin twice removed on her adopted step-father’s side had seen on Youtube the other day. Amen! We then knelt and thanked the SkyQ for the opportunity to gather and use the physical gifts he has bestowed upon us, and for blessings for all needs upspoken. Always a pleasure…
