6 HIMs of Asgard posted in the gloom on this New Year’s morning in Fleming Island, Florida.  YHC knew there were many men out in Clay County who made New Year’s “resolutions” to get fit but wondered how many actually knew their best option was in such close proximity.  YHC felt it was about time to give a little exposure for F3 Fleming Island with a little road trip while carrying a few of our favorite things…

The Thang

Big Bird took the pax on a heavy pearls on a string on Thursday.  This may seem like a rinse and repeat, however, there were few twists… or should I say two flags… and some music…. and Big Bertha!

All pax but one with either a ruck or weighted vest between 20-30 lbs each.  Pax rotated positions-

    • 2 flag bears
    • 1 pax carrying Woodshed’s Monster speakers
    • 2 pax carrying Bertha (a fence post with 3 Cindys)
    • 1 pax without weight, running labs around group
  • Pax made their way north on Town Center Blvd towards 220, making stops along the way to perform exercises and rotate positions; those with weight performed 10 reps while runner performed 20 reps
  • At the CVS, all weights dropped for Updraft shuffle
  • Return to library in the same manner

YHC discussed how in the grand scheme of things, there really is not a difference between Dec 31st and Jan 1st, but we use it as a time of new beginnings.  As we look forward to a new year and make plans to be a better person, we really need to account for those things that are weighing us down.  What are our Jesters that we carry and hold us back.  We need to identify and name our Jesters. Not doing so makes it easier for our Jester to control us, sneak up on us, and hold us back from the HIM we were meant to be.  We must also remember our failures, for it is through our failures we learn.  Therefore, we need to drop whatever is holding us down/back and learn from our failures if we are to move forward in 2022.
