There’s so much to unpack here, so let’s just get to it.
On Sunday, I posted in Slack that if you are coming to Kessel to bring a pair of bricks. After a text exchange with my shieldlock I added that if there isn’t and inventory around the house to bring a set of dumbbells that would be appropriate. This should be good.
Hats off to Precious and Bubble Wrap who showed up with the prescribed brickage. I happen to have a stack of bricks on the side of my house and brought an extra pair that Gekko used. I would have brought more had anyone asked. No one did.
So this morning I was surprised to see weights ranging from 10lbs to 15lbs each. This is going to be good.
I gave the disclaimer that modification is always an option and we grabbed our burdons and took off to the base of the Fuller Warren pedestrian bridge. During the run over I mentioned to Precious that this is going to be either really stupid or really hard. Turns out it was both.
Once the 6 finally showed up, I grabbed the instructions that had been placed earlier.
Complete the Exercise then run to the top WITH YOUR WEIGHTS.
Each round to be completed consecutively.
Round 1. 10 Brickbees
Round 2. 10 Brickbees plus 25 Overhead presses
Round 3. 10 Brickbees plus 25 Overhead presses Plus 30 Venus Flycatchers (Wall sit and Brick Butterfly’s)
Round 4. 10 Brickbees plus 25 Overhead presses Plus 30 Venus Flycatchers Plus 25 Brick webs
After Round 4 myself and Precious went back for the 6, Gekko and Pud who were still on the bridge. I glanced at my watch and it was 6:05.
When we got back to the base of the bridge we discovered that the rest of the Pax, 8 of them I believe, had picked up their weights and arbitrarily decided to head back to the flag. Hmmmm. Ok.
We caught up to them at the corner of Palm and Gary streets and I asked them to place their weights down and air chair for the 6.
When the 6 caught up, “Pick up your brothers weight and carry their load to the flag.”
We got to the flag at 6:15:18 am
Countorama, Nameorama!

Jesus knew the instructions. He had his marching orders from day 1. He was told he could modify, yet He choose not to. Even in the Garden He had options but He took the path that would be hard. He even had help carrying his cross. Do hard things, and be grateful you have brothers to help.
PS: Precious, Gekko, Pud and Seatdown carried their weights the whole time!

Good Q sir. It sucked but it’s been said that variety is the spice of life! Way to change it up.
