F3 – Q – Anger –

Welcome and Disclaimer

Anger is an absolutely normal physical and emotional response to some situations, it is part of the “Fight or Flight Response” meant to keep us safe.

But is it healthy?  There are some who say some anger is healthy.

“healthy anger” demands reflection. It requires that we take time and exert the effort to empower the rational mind to override the emotional mind. As such, it calls on us to more fully embrace a major aspect of our humanity – our capacities to reason and problem solve.

Anger often enables, protects against, or is symptomatic of something else.

For me, anger has always been a shield, I use it to protect my pride or my feelings, lest they be hurt, more often than not anger is present because of FEAR

FOR ME – “It is a spiritual axiom that every time we are disturbed, no matter what the cause!!!
There is something wrong with us.  So if I am angry, it is my fault.

If somebody hurts us and we are sore, we are in the wrong also.

But are there no exceptions to this rule? What about ‘justifiable’ anger?

If somebody cheats us, aren’t we entitled to be mad?

Can’t we be properly angry with self-righteous folk?

For many these are dangerous exceptions. We have found that justifiable anger ought to be left to those better qualified to handle it.”

I am the one whom can make the decision as to how someone elses actions impact me, I can be angry or I can approach the situation with Love and Tolerance.

We have all heard the statement – do you want to be happy or to be right, and I CHOOSE to be happy.

QUOTE – “Speak when you are angry and you’ll make the best speech you’ll ever regret.”—Lawrence J. Peter-

So how do we deal with anger.

I looked up about a half dozen articles on how to release anger and while there are many techniques to manage and deal with anger, including seeking professional help, EVERY SINGLE ONE had Something about Exercise / do a tough/intense workout as a way to release your anger.  So if you’re angry now, it will all be gone by the time we are done here!!!!!!!!

BIBLE VERSE – My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. :…… James 1:19-20

So for ME, I HAVE TO LET GO of the anger AND LET GOD have it …

I find that if I live in anger, that it consumes me and controls my every thought, so I have to let go and let god!

So every day I get on my knees and

. . . pray only for knowledge of His will for me and the power to carry that out.  And I ask him to release me of my defects of character of which Anger is only one of those defects!!
