14 HIMs came out to Badlands for a run day, fun day journey to the Nocatee roundabout. Total miles completed was 4.
It was a beautiful morning, perfect temperature for running and we all embraced it.
During the COT 🎩 Trick shared a blessing from above Apryle Showers story that occurred this weekend. On Saturday at the Nocatee Farmers Market he was standing at the Apryle Showers tent promoting the foundation and race. He noticed a girl wearing a “Stand Up For Cancer” shirt. He went over to her to complement her on the shirt. She said that her mother is battling cancer right now, at this point the mother and father are standing with him at the ASF tent. He asked them if they were aware of the Apryle Showers Foundation and the services we provide. They were not aware so he educated them about the foundation. They all began to cry because they all need to get out of the cancer bubble and regroup as a family on their cancer journey. He gave them one on the Apryle Showers information packets and told the mother (Tina) to submit her application and we would start the process of welcoming her in as our next beneficiary. On Sunday she submitted her application and we have started the process of grant her and her family a weekend retreat full of rest, peace, hope and healing.
Also on Sunday after Hat Trick completed his 22 mile Boston Marathon training run posted on Facebook this story and asked for donations to help him reach his fundraising goal and help more people like Tina. He made note that he was $2,000 short of his goal. Hours after posting his note an anonymous donor gave him $2,000 to get him to his goal. Hat Trick is beyond thankful for this amazing gift to help all of the beneficiaries Apryle Showers cares for.
When moments like this happen Hat Trick looks at them as blessing from above, it is God and Apryle working in wonderful ways. Amen 🙏
