A dark and apparently overcast morning awaited the Pax at the Chop Shop. The usual suspects attended, including a welcome return by quasi-regular D-Nice. Disclaimers were minimal with no new pax present, so we were off!

WORKOUT
Simple scheme, some planned, some impromptu. Pax gathered near the playground, with each round consisting of two basic exercises, with a 400m run between each round. My watch shows we got around 1.75 miles of running in! Exercises/rounds were as follows:
50 Merkins / 50 Freddie Mercurys – 2 count
25 Coupon Curls / 25 Flutters w/ Cindy OH – 4 count
50 Step-Ups / 50 OH Claps
25 Squat Thrusters / 25 American Hammers w/ Cindy (rumor started of this being an injury risk….insert eyeroll)
50 Cossack Squats / 50 Plank Shoulder Taps
25 Deadlifts / 25 BBSU
In the midst of all this, we threw in a round of 50 dips, some plank Cindy pull-thru’s, and one or two more extra credit movements.
COT
Count-o-rama, Name-o-rama, prayer requests and announcements. Word of the day was that sometimes you simply have to find a way to do the hard stuff. It’s one of the ways of overcoming fears and obstacles, and to reaching goals and sustaining good or desirable habits. Nothing good or desirable comes easy. Put in the work!
Being Q was fun today. I kept it simple, and it was probably more effective than the creative stuff we sometimes try. Sometimes it’s best to just have a general plan, give yourself options, and run with it. An acknowledgment to my fellow pax for supporting Chop Shop and for just being there, for just showing up! Appreciate you all!
